Have you ever asked a sponsor, event promoter, trainer, sparring partner (or anyone really) a question and their only reply is “I don’t know”?
Maybe they’re pressed for time, maybe they don’t want to help you, or maybe they genuinely don’t know.
Whatever the reason, I'm going to show you how to instantly bypass their mental roadblock and get what you want.
Getting More of What You Want
So you ask a sponsor a question about money...
Or an event promoter about contract terms...
Or a gym owner about getting access to more classes...
Or just a regular question in a conversation with a friend...
And they hit you with a repeated "I don't know"
- I don't know if we can do that
- I don't know if that's possible
- I really don't know, I'll have to get back to you
Well, the next time they reply “I don’t know” simply say to them:
“I know you don’t know. But if you did know, what would
your answer be?”
And they’ll tell you!
haha. I know, I know, that sounds absolutely absurd. But it really works.
Our brains are wired to automatically answer any question we ask it.
So when you say, “I know you don’t know. But if you did know, what would your answer be?” the response mechanism is triggered in THEIR brain.
So even if they didn’t have an answer before, their brain will instantly generate one and they’ll tell it to you.
I use this ALL the time.
Sometimes I even laugh while saying it because it’s so amusing. The person will often laugh with me. Yet, they happily give a genuine answer.
It even works on yourself, haha.
The next time you think “I don’t know what to do” say to yourself, “I know I don’t know. But if I did know, what would I do?”
And boom! Your brain will give you the answer!
haha. Oh man, I’m laughing right now as I write this, haha.
I love this technique so much.
It works in writing too. So you can even use it in emails.
It’s super effective and you’re gonna have a lot of fun with it.
Take it a step further by combining it with this tip to create a real-life Inception technique.
It’s perfect for prompting someone into action. And they’ll believe it’s their own idea!
